1009RL Round Liner Cartridge – 9RL 0.30 mm (Set of 10)
The 1009RL is a nine-needle round liner on a 0.30 mm taper — the densest round configuration Elite makes. Nine needles grouped in a round cluster shade and fill large areas quickly with even, saturated colour, which makes it the workhorse for powder brow bodies and full lip colour.

- Best for — full brow shading, dense powder fill, large-area coverage, saturated lip colour
- Pack size — set of 10

Why nine needles
Where a 3RL draws and a 5RL builds density, a 9RL shades. Nine needles cover a wide footprint in every pass, so you fill the body of a brow or a full lip in a fraction of the passes a smaller cartridge needs. Kept in a round grouping, the deposit stays even and soft rather than laying a hard edge, which is exactly what powder and ombre work wants.
It has no place in hairstroke work — nine needles cannot draw a single hair. Its job is coverage: the saturated centre of a powder brow, a dense lip fill, or any area where you want colour laid down fast and even before you soften the edges.
Where the 1009RL sits in the liner family
All Elite liners share the same body and membrane; count and gauge set the job.
- 1RL / 3RL (1201RL, 1003RL) — single strokes and everyday hairstroke lining.
- 5RL (1005RL, 0605RL) — dense lines and pixel shading.
- 9RL (1009RL) — the densest round cluster, for full shading and fill. At 0.30 mm it lays the most pigment per pass of any round liner in the range.
If a 9RL feels too heavy for the area, step down to the 1005RL. If you want a softer gradient or a cleaner shaded edge than a round cluster gives, move to the 1003RS round shader or a curved magnum such as the 0807U.
Working with it
Nine needles move a lot of pigment, so a light, even hand matters more here than on any liner. Work in smooth, overlapping passes and let the colour build across passes rather than pressing for saturation in one. Keep the cluster flat to the skin so all nine needles seat evenly; tilt it and the deposit goes patchy. Maintain a firm, even stretch and wipe along the direction of your passes.
Hygiene and disposal
Every cartridge is a single-use, individually sealed unit with a filtered back-flow membrane that keeps pigment and fluid out of the machine grip. Check the seal before you open it; if the blister is compromised, discard it. Dispose of used cartridges in a sharps container in line with your state's requirements — in California that means an approved sharps waste container, never household waste.
Who this is for
The 1009RL is professional equipment for licensed permanent makeup artists and tattoo practitioners. It is not a consumer product and is not intended for use at home or by anyone without training in skin, sanitation and bloodborne pathogens.
