How to get the best result

  1. Map every stroke before you open the cartridge

Draw the full brow shape and each hairstroke on the skin first. A liner is unforgiving — the stroke you commit to is the stroke that heals.

  2. Hold it at 45 degrees, not upright

A round liner held vertical punches holes; held at roughly 45 degrees it draws. Crisp hairstrokes come from the angle, not from speed.

  3. Three-point stretch on every stroke

Anchor the skin in three directions. On loose skin a liner skips and the stroke heals as a dashed line rather than a continuous hair.

  4. One pass, then read the skin

Lay the stroke in a single pass and stop. If the pigment is not sitting, the fix is stretch or angle — not another pass.

  5. Wipe along the stroke, never across it

Wiping across a fresh hairstroke lifts pigment straight back out of the channel you just made.

FAQ

Questions artists ask us

What does 1003RL mean?
It is the part code. 10 is the needle gauge on the nano scale (0.30 mm), 03 is the number of needles, and RL stands for Round Liner. So a 1003RL is a three-needle round liner on a 0.30 mm taper.
Is the 1003RL good for beginners?
It is a good first liner, yes. Three needles are more forgiving than one: the cluster holds enough pigment to complete a stroke in a single pass, so you are less likely to over-work an area while learning. Practise on synthetic skin before working on a client.
What is the difference between the 1003RL and the 1003RS?
Same three needles, different job. The RL is a liner — the needles are grouped tight so the stroke holds a clean edge. The RS is a round shader — the same count spread slightly wider so the edges dissolve. Use RL for hairstrokes and lining, RS for soft shading.
Which cartridge should I use for powder brows instead?
A shader or a magnum. The 1003RS gives soft round shading; the 0805U and 0807U curved magnums give the gradient that powder and ombre brows need. A liner will leave visible individual dots in a powder fill.
Does it fit machines other than the Elite PMU Machine?
It is sold and supported for the Elite PMU Machine. Cartridge systems vary between manufacturers in grip diameter and needle throw, so check fitment with your machine's maker before using it in another device.
How many cartridges will I use per treatment?
Most artists use one cartridge per client per session — they are single use and must never be reused or re-sterilised. A set of 10 covers roughly ten sessions, which is why most studios reorder in multiples.
Is it sterile, and how should I dispose of it?
Each cartridge is single use with a filtered back-flow membrane and arrives individually sealed. Check the seal before opening and discard it if the blister is damaged. Used cartridges go into an approved sharps container — in California, never into household waste.
Why is the 1003RL out of stock so often?
It is the single most used cartridge in the range, because 3RL is the default for machine hairstroke work. If it is unavailable, the 0603RL is the closest substitute at a finer 0.20 mm gauge, and the 1005RL is the closest in gauge if you can work with five needles.
