Why 18 nano pins and a curve

A microblade draws a hairstroke by pressing a row of pins into the skin and cutting a fine channel that pigment settles into. Eighteen pins give the blade enough contact length to lay a full, body-length hairstroke in one clean pull — short-count blades need multiple overlapping passes for the same stroke, which increases trauma risk. Nano-gauge pins are finer than standard pins, so each incision is more precise and heals with a sharper, crisper line. The curved blade profile traces the natural arc of a brow hair, so strokes look grown-in rather than drawn on. Working with it

The 18N rewards clean, confident technique. Keep the blade close to 90 degrees to the skin so all eighteen pins engage evenly — tilting the blade causes uneven depth and patchy strokes. Stretch the skin taut with three fingers and draw each hairstroke in one smooth, continuous pull; do not drag back and forth. The blade is at its best on the brow body and tail where long, arcing strokes are needed — for tight detail work at the front head, consider switching to an 11-pin blade. One pass per stroke: check depth before committing to the next.

Hygiene and disposal

Each blade is a single-use, individually sealed, pre-sterilised unit packed ten to a box. Inspect the blister and pin tips before opening — a compromised seal or a bent pin means the blade is unusable. Dispose of used blades in a licensed sharps container in line with your state's requirements. In California that means an approved sharps waste container, never household rubbish.
