Pro technique

How to get the best result

  1. Map every stroke first — this gauge is unforgiving

Draw the full brow and each hairstroke on the skin before you open the cartridge. At 0.16 mm there is no heavy-handed way to correct a mis-placed stroke.

  2. Shallow angle, never upright

A round liner held vertical punches; held at roughly 45 degrees it draws a fine, continuous hair.

  3. Firm, even three-point stretch

On the loose, thin skin this cartridge is made for, an even stretch is what keeps the fine stroke from breaking up.

  4. Feather-light pressure

Let the needle lay the stroke. Pressing a 0.16 mm liner bruises delicate skin and blurs the heal. One light pass, then read.

  5. Build density at the touch-up, not on day one

A fine gauge on delicate skin may look soft when fresh. Perfect it at the follow-up rather than over-working it now.

FAQ

Questions artists ask us

What does 0403RL mean?
It is the part code. 04 is the needle gauge on the nano scale (0.16 mm), 03 is the number of needles, and RL stands for Round Liner. So a 0403RL is a three-needle round liner at 0.16 mm — the finest 3RL in the range.
What is the 0403RL best for?
The finest, softest hairstrokes and delicate or mature skin. At 0.16 mm it lays a light, natural stroke that heavier gauges can make look drawn on thin skin.
What is the difference between the 0403RL and the 0603RL?
Gauge. Both are three-needle liners; the 0403RL is finer at 0.16 mm and the 0603RL is 0.20 mm. Use the 0403RL for the most delicate skin and the softest strokes, the 0603RL for a little more presence.
Is the 0403RL good for beginners?
Yes, with a light hand. Three needles are forgiving and the fine gauge rewards gentle pressure. Practise on synthetic skin to calibrate depth before working on delicate client skin.
Will a 0.16 mm stroke hold long enough?
On delicate skin, yes — it is matched to skin that holds less pigment. On resilient skin a fine stroke may fade sooner and benefit from a touch-up, or you can step up to the 0603RL or 1003RL.
Does it fit machines other than the Elite PMU Machine?
It is sold and supported for the Elite PMU Machine. Confirm fitment with your machine's maker before using it elsewhere.
How many cartridges will I use per treatment?
Usually one per client per session — single use, never reused. A set of 20 covers roughly twenty sessions.
Is it sterile, and how should I dispose of it?
Each cartridge is single use with a filtered back-flow membrane and arrives individually sealed. Discard it if the seal is damaged. Used cartridges go into an approved sharps container — in California, never into household waste.
