1005RL Round Liner Cartridge – 5RL 0.30 mm (Set of 10)
The 1005RL is a five-needle round liner on a 0.30 mm taper. Five needles in a tight round cluster deposit far more pigment per pass than a three-needle liner, so it is the cartridge for dense lines, pixel-style shading and lip blush bases — work where you want a liner's control but a shader's coverage.
At a glance
- Configuration — 5 Round Liner (5RL)
- Needle diameter — 0.30 mm
- Best for — dense lining, pixel shading, lip blush base, faster coverage than a 3RL
- Pack size — set of 10
- Fitment — Elite PMU Machine
- Hygiene — filtered cartridge with a back-flow membrane, single use, individually sealed
Why five needles
A 3RL lays a single crisp hairstroke; a 5RL lays a heavier, more saturated line and starts to behave like a shading tool. The round grouping keeps the deposit controlled — it does not spread the way a flat or magnum does — but with five needles you cover ground faster and build density in fewer passes. That makes it the bridge cartridge between hairstroke liners and dedicated shaders.
It is not the tool for individual hairstrokes: five needles are too wide to read as a single hair. Use it where you want a solid, saturated line or a pixelated fill — the front of a combo brow, a lip liner that needs body, or the first shading pass on a powder brow before you switch to a magnum.
Where the 1005RL sits in the liner family
All Elite liners share the same body and membrane; the count and gauge change what the cartridge is for.
- 1RL and 3RL (1201RL, 1003RL) — single crisp hairstrokes and everyday lining.
- 5RL (1005RL, 0605RL) — five needles for dense lines and pixel shading. The 1005RL is the 0.30 mm version; the 0605RL is finer at 0.20 mm.
- 9RL (1009RL) — nine needles for full shading and dense fill over larger areas.
Step down to the 1003RL when you need individual hairstrokes; step up to the 1009RL when you want to shade a whole brow body. For softer edges than any round liner gives, move to the 1003RS round shader or a curved magnum.
Working with it
With five needles the 1005RL wants a lighter hand and a slightly flatter angle than a single-stroke liner. Build density in layers rather than forcing it in one heavy pass — over-working a five-needle line traumatises the skin and blurs the result. Keep the stretch firm and even so all five needles enter at the same depth; uneven stretch shows as a patchy line. Wipe along the direction of work, not across it.
Hygiene and disposal
Every cartridge is a single-use, individually sealed unit with a filtered back-flow membrane that keeps pigment and fluid out of the machine grip. Check the seal before you open it; if the blister is compromised, discard it. Dispose of used cartridges in a sharps container in line with your state's requirements — in California that means an approved sharps waste container, never household waste.
Who this is for
The 1005RL is professional equipment for licensed permanent makeup artists and tattoo practitioners. It is not a consumer product and is not intended for use at home or by anyone without training in skin, sanitation and bloodborne pathogens.
