1205F Flat Shader Cartridge – 5F 0.35 mm (Set of 10)
The 1205F is a five-needle flat shader on a 0.35 mm taper. Its needles are set in a straight row rather than a cluster, which lays a wide, even band of pigment with a defined edge — the cartridge for controlled shading, lip blush fill and the crisper side of powder brow work.
At a glance
- Configuration — 5 Flat Shader (5F)
- Needle diameter — 0.35 mm
- Best for — crisp-edged shading, lip blush fill, defined powder work, pixel shading
- Pack size — set of 10
- Fitment — Elite PMU Machine
- Hygiene — filtered cartridge with a back-flow membrane, single use, individually sealed
Why a flat, and why a straight row
A flat shader lines its needles up in a row, so instead of a round dot it lays a straight band. That gives you a wider, more even sweep of colour than a round shader and a cleaner, more defined edge than a curved magnum. When your powder or ombre work needs structure — a crisper front, a defined lip border, an even fill — the flat is the tool.
At 0.35 mm with five needles it carries plenty of pigment and covers ground quickly. For softer, more diffuse gradients with no defined edge, a curved magnum (0805U, 0807U) is the better choice; the flat is for controlled, structured shading.
Where the 1205F sits in the range
All Elite cartridges share the same body and membrane; the needle arrangement sets the job.
- Flat shaders (F) — 1205F (5 needles) and 1207F (7 needles) at 0.35 mm, and the finer 0807F (7 needles, 0.25 mm).
- Curved magnums (0805U, 0807U) — softer, more diffuse gradients.
- Round shaders (1003RS) — feathered shading in a small round footprint for tight areas.
Step up to the seven-needle 1207F for wider coverage, or across to a curved magnum when you want the edge to disappear entirely.
Working with it
Keep the flat's row parallel to the skin so all five needles seat evenly — a tilted flat shades with one corner and streaks. Work in even, overlapping passes and build colour in layers rather than one heavy pass. Use the defined edge deliberately: lead with it where you want structure, and soften with lighter pressure where you want the colour to fade.
Hygiene and disposal
Every cartridge is a single-use, individually sealed unit with a filtered back-flow membrane that keeps pigment and fluid out of the machine grip. Check the seal before you open it; if the blister is compromised, discard it. Dispose of used cartridges in a sharps container in line with your state's requirements — in California that means an approved sharps waste container, never household waste.
Who this is for
The 1205F is professional equipment for licensed permanent makeup artists and tattoo practitioners. It is not a consumer product and is not intended for use at home or by anyone without training in skin, sanitation and bloodborne pathogens.
