How Passion Red heals

True reds are among the most technically demanding lip shades — color retention at heal depends heavily on skin undertone, depth of implantation, and whether the client's lip tissue was neutralized first. Passion Red's cool, pink base means it reads bright and clean on neutral-to-cool lips but can read slightly cooler or more pink than expected on clients with heavily pigmented or blue-toned lip tissue if neutralization is insufficient. Plan for a touch-up to assess and deepen saturation rather than pushing full coverage in one session.

Working with it

Shake well before use. Thin only with Perma Blend Thinning or Shading Solution — never water. Always neutralize the lips before applying a true red — particularly on clients with naturally pigmented or cool-toned lips. Patch test, build in layers, and under-saturate at the first session: red heals considerably lighter than it looks fresh, and a conservative first session is far easier to manage than a result that over-saturated. Record all mixes and layer counts precisely.
