Pro technique

How to get the best result

  1. Work it as a blending tool

The curved row feathers the edges — sweep it in soft overlapping passes and let the shape create the gradient. Do not treat it like a liner.

  2. Build the gradient in light layers

Colour placed in one heavy pass heals blotchy and loses the fade. Layer soft passes to build a smooth ombre.

  3. Let the curve feather the edges

Lead with the centre where you want saturation and let the outer needles diffuse the perimeter naturally.

  4. Even stretch, steady sweep

Keep the skin taut and move in smooth, consistent passes so the gradient stays even with no banding.

  5. Vary pressure to place saturation

More pressure in the body, less toward the tail and edges — that is how the powder gradient is built.

FAQ

Questions artists ask us

What does 0805U mean?
It is the part code. 08 is the needle gauge on the nano scale (0.25 mm), 05 is the number of needles, and U stands for curved magnum. So a 0805U is a five-needle curved magnum at 0.25 mm.
What is a curved magnum used for?
Soft ombre and powder brow gradients, seamless lip blush and any edgeless shading. The curved needle row diffuses at the edges so colour fades into the skin with no hard border.
What is the difference between the 0805U and the 0807U?
Needle count at the same 0.25 mm gauge. The 0805U has five needles for more controllable shading on smaller areas; the 0807U has seven for wider coverage over a full brow body.
What is the difference between a curved magnum (U) and a flat (F)?
The needle arrangement. A magnum is a curved row that feathers at the edges for the softest gradient; a flat (0807F) is a straight row that gives an even band with a defined edge. Use a magnum for a borderless ombre, a flat for structure.
Is the 0805U good for lip blush?
Yes — it is a favourite for lip blush because it blends colour seamlessly across the lip with a soft edge. Many artists use it for both the brow ombre and the lip in one session.
Does it fit machines other than the Elite PMU Machine?
It is sold and supported for the Elite PMU Machine. Confirm fitment with your machine's maker before using it elsewhere.
How many cartridges will I use per treatment?
Usually one per client per session — single use, never reused. A set of 20 covers roughly twenty sessions.
Is it sterile, and how should I dispose of it?
Each cartridge is single use with a filtered back-flow membrane and arrives individually sealed. Discard it if the seal is damaged. Used cartridges go into an approved sharps container — in California, never into household waste.
