0503RL Round Liner Cartridge – 3RL 0.18 mm (Set of 20)
The 0503RL is a three-needle round liner on a 0.18 mm nano taper — sitting between the ultra-fine 0403RL and the standard-fine 0603RL. It lays a fine, clean one-pass hairstroke that suits most nano and combo brow work where you want a delicate result without going to the very finest gauge.

Why 0.18 mm
0.18 mm is the middle of the fine range. It is soft enough for thin or reactive skin but holds a fraction more pigment than the 0.16 mm 0403RL, so the stroke reads a little more present while still looking natural. For many artists it is the default fine liner — fine enough for delicate work, forgiving enough for everyday brows.
Three needles keep it a one-pass hairstroke tool: the cluster completes a stroke without repeated passes. Drop to the 0403RL for the most fragile skin; step up to the 0603RL or the heavier 1003RL when the skin is resilient.
Where the 0503RL sits in the liner family
All Elite liners share the same body and membrane; count and gauge decide the job.
- 3RL by gauge — 0403RL (0.16 mm), 0503RL (0.18 mm), 0603RL (0.20 mm), 1003RL (0.30 mm).
- 1RL (0501RL) — single needle at the same 0.18 mm gauge, for the finest individual strokes.
For single detail strokes at this gauge, use the 0501RL. For the most delicate skin, the 0403RL; for more presence, the 0603RL or 1003RL.
Working with it
Draw at a shallow angle, keep a firm three-point stretch, and let the fine needle lay the stroke rather than pressing. One pass, then read the skin. Wipe along the direction of the stroke, never across it.
Hygiene and disposal
Every cartridge is a single-use, individually sealed unit with a filtered back-flow membrane that keeps pigment and fluid out of the machine grip. Check the seal before you open it; if the blister is compromised, discard it. Dispose of used cartridges in a sharps container in line with your state's requirements — in California that means an approved sharps waste container, never household waste.
Who this is for
The 0503RL is professional equipment for licensed permanent makeup artists and tattoo practitioners. It is not a consumer product and is not intended for use at home or by anyone without training in skin, sanitation and bloodborne pathogens.
